Acribed status affects the other element sof this equation in many important ways ie. economic power (ability to attain a certian class or market position) Race and ethnicity also affect ones achieved status ie. one"s ability to enter prestigious occupation or to pursue other goals that are accorded a high level of status in society. Also affects people"s ability to access networks that facilitate policital mobilization. Races and ethncities are status groups are culturally constructed groups and they are culturally constructed int erms of hieracrics of moral worth.
