Two people most closely associated with the birth of flight in the us; The become the first to demonstrate the viability of sustained flight with a motor-powered heavier-than-air aircraft. They have become symbols of american ingenuity. They recognized for what they accomplished and how they accomplished. They challenged prevailing assumptions about how scientific enquiry should be pursued = collaborative, open and deliberative methods of experimentation. They pursue their experiments differently = once they achieved flight, they shocked fellow investors, engineers and scientists by attempting to hide their inventions and to find ways to monetize them. In the process, they helped to entrench a peculiarly american way of pursuing innovation: the brother"s progress toward to the success can be found in the series of letters by wilbur. On may 30, 1899, wilbur wright sat down to write a letter to the smithsonian. It is only a question of knowledge and skill as in all acrobatic feats.
