Prophecy: louis will abandon prior now that he has aids. Joe wants to save harper but he abuses her. Harper knows he doesn"t love her and goes crazy trying to deny it. Azt is a drug to elongate live with aids. Joe and harper, louis and prior, start as couples and end as individuals. He doesn"t like america (terminal, crazy and mean) Roy is the embodiment of what america is. Rabbi: played by a woman dressed as a man. All straight men in the play are played by a woman. Play is an act of mourning, a monument for those who died. It begins at the end of the story. Wants to travel and leave joe behind. Torn between future and the apocalypse and knowing/not knowing. Joe is violent when people get too close to the truth. His mom is surprised by him being gay. Louis has already left but prior doesn"t know.
