Document Summary

We hear more and more that organizations allow access to their network resources by the means of mobile smart phones. Discuss security risks associated with mobile access to a network. There are multiple security risks associated with mobile access to a network. The main type of security risks involves application-based risks, web-based risks, network-based threats, and physical threats. The first security risk is malicious apps, because of the terms and conditions applications offered to customers, where many of them do not read them as it can be very long. This is a perfect example of how an application can access your data and send it off to a third party or a possible competitor (if it is an enterprise). The second security risk is spyware attacks because big companies such as apple (ios) and/or android devices are more susceptible and vulnerable as they are a very popular device that is prone to being attacked.
