Researchers often model real observations using the normal distribution, but sometimes the real distribution is a bit different from the perfect, normal distribution. Before one expresses an opinion about normal distribution, one must first know what it is and why it is important. 2011). the normal distribution is shown as a bell shape on a graph. The normal distribution is important because it is versatile. It can be used for the distribution of heights and weights, for sat scores, for the volume of honey collected from bees, and the list goes on (wayne,2016). List some reasons why researchers might make approximations like this and describe at least one situation when researchers should not use this approximation. Some reasons why researchers might make these approximations are: Researchers may make these approximation or conclusions in different research projects because it may be very difficult to obtain the necessary information as such the only option is to make an approximation to the nearest digit.
