If you just talk about your interview participant, and not class content, you haven"t completed the assignment. If you come to class thurs you can get an extension to 10am friday (turned in to anthro office) Don"t forget interview notes (typed and initial) and short essay with comments. Worked with them participant observation observed while participating in their lives. Advantages more than just your pov (but still limited to who you interact with), more in-depth, contextualized information. Disadvantages perhaps more biased, limited to the experiences you can have (can"t generalize) The lions rely on each other , there is no broader community or family for them to gain support from. Different than general social networks, because there is not a family network. The status of being undocumented limits agency of the lions. The lions have a unique culture separate from mexican and american culture. Stereotype that mexican culture makes mexican people hard workers.
