Many researchers use nonhumans because of ethical considerations. Men experience more gender role stress than women. Sex differences are not small and unreliable: we all use effect sizes so why would significance of these be less when we are looking at differences. Average differences result from a few extreme cases in distributions. Men and women use different styles of conversation: men=report talk, tend to lead, women=rapport, tend to cluster. Form 4-12 years old children spend large majority of free play time exclusively with peers of same sex. Boys and girls play with same tool differently. Boys playing girl games= made fun of and punished more. Girls playing boy games= not as punished. Gender attitudes more flexible in late adolescence: gender intensification hypothesis, trying to be very masculine or feminine, because of hormones and to attract appropriate mate. Evolutionary: short term vs. long term mating strategies, women much more color sensitive, traits you have define you.
