Categories: mandatory - ssi, categories the state has more say in. Income limits and resource limits: use the same counting rules for determining which income and resources are counted. Ssi: healthy horizons, mawd - medical assistance for workers with disabilities, magi - medical assistance gross income. Medicaid for long-term care: referred to now as long term supports and services (ltss) Income limits and rules (financial eligibility: spousal impoverishment and mmna (monthly maintenance for spouse, medicaid covers 50% of all nursing home costs, asset/resource limits and rules, community spouse resource allowance.
