Extinction of dinosaurs and all other forms of life. Cloud of debris and solid cloud over entire planet for months/years. Our ancestors got a chance to expand and be diverse after this nuclear/asteroid winter. Diversity of species starts to rise again. Biodiversity response, depression then rise, as surviving forms spread out and diversify (more diverse than all periods before)
