Confidentiality: a moral promise that a therapist gives to a client with respect to the protection a client has concerning unauthorized disclosure of information. Can sometimes be unintentionally violated: must take reasonable precoautions to protect confidential information obtained through or stored in any medium, limits of confidentiality.
