Neurons = cells responsible for sending brain signals. 40-100 billion of them, depending on the research (40, closer to 86 billion) Plasticity = ability of the brain to change. Young organisms can often overcome early deprivation. Synaptogenesis = formation of connections between neurons. Likely important developmental step for proper brain functioning.
