Nowhere does the constitution say right to privacy. Lewis and warren: upset they could write embarrassing things in the paper and couldn"t sue, thought people should have privacy. Olmstead v us 1928: lewis brandeis wrote a dissenting opinion. Dissenting opinion- people who lose, still write an opinion on why they thought they should"ve won: the makers of us want to protect americans they should get to be left alone. Roe v wade 1973: expand privacy right, gives right for women to have an abortion. The law in the past was if you kept something private then it would be private. You have to get notice before these are taken from you. You have to be told what you"re being punished for.
