Britain trying to supress the prosperity of the united states undertook series of economic sanctions, in alliance with france, to harm the economy of. This was the clear attempt to choke off the american sovereignty and thus the primary cause for the war of 1812 (the second independence war). United states" soldier winning the war at the fort mchenry, raised the glorious and huge united. Moreover, the home of the brave respects the contributions of every brave soldiers and patriots in establishing the sovereignty of the new nation and protecting it. The first verse also explains why the war of 1812 can be called as the second independence war. The second verse is related to the british fleet and the flag"s vertical position (relating to sovereignty) and the flag"s view when light shines on it.
