Laboratory 3: pressure measurements instrumentation amplifier static characteristics of measurement system. To learn how to use a piezoresistive pressure transducer and an instrumentation amplifier to measure pressures. To apply the ideal gas law for calibration of a pressure measurement system. To experiment with measuring the static characteristic of a linear measurement system. Procedures: experimental gain and offset of the ia: Use the programmable power supply set at +10 v (output 1) and. 10 v (output 2) to power the ia. Use a 1 k resistor to set the gain of the ia. The output voltage is measured at pin 6 with pin 5 connected to ground. Connect the third power supply (output 3) between pins 2 and 3 to provide an adjustable input voltage to the ia. Program the power supply to deliver step voltages of 0. 01 v. power up the ia.
