Aside from boundaries, enhancer blockers are another insulator that prevents enhancer from interactions with promoter if blocker is placed between promoter and enhancer. Placing blocker between promoter and enhancer prevents transcription activation. > enhancer bound by tf but insulator bound by protein that promotes its activity.
