Organ level: different tissues work together to perform particular functions. Systems level: the organs work together to perform functions like digestion and respiration. Atom: smallest piece of an element still exhibiting the elements unique set of chemical properties. Chemical level: all matter is composed of atoms containing protons, neutrons, and electrons. Atomic structure: protons and neutrons are contained in the central nucleus of an atom, electrons circle the nucleus. Charges of subatomic particles: protons= positive, neutrons= neutral, electrons= negative.
