Psychological data is so hard to gather because the things we are measuring are not measureable. Variable a property that can take more than one possible value. It does not always have to be a number. Anything that can have multiple values can be a variable (even if we don"t care about studying it we have to take it into consideration that it could affect our results) Variables of interest what we want to study. Constants do not vary in a study. When working on a research question we should only look at the constants that directly relate to the study. Example we are working on a study about moms and their babies so we should not include anything about the dads.
