Document Summary

One outstanding oyster talked to a fish about golf, volleyball, and hockey. Motor: eye movement medially (adduct) and visual reflexes. Sensory: sensation of face, mouth, teeth, and ant. 1/3 tongue taste & sensation, and pharynx sensation. Motor: pharynx, intrinsic larynx, soft palate, and neck muscles. Mucous lining of the palate & facial skin. Wrinkle forehead, close eyes tightly, close mouth tightly, pull down corners of mouth, tense ant. neck muscles. Located in ganglia near vestibule and semicircular canals of inner ears. Contain sensory receptors for changes in position of the head. Send impulses to cerebellum for reflexes to engage to maintain equilibrium. Impulses pass thru medullar & midbrain on their way to the temporal lobe where they are interpreted. Cranial: impulses to muscles of soft palate, pharynx, and layrnx. Spinal: descends into the neck to supply motor fibers to trapezius and sternocleiomastoid. Motor fibers carry impulses to muscles of tongue.
