Video games have now become a major staple in our younger generation compared to previous generations. Many critiques argue that video games are having ill effects on easily manipulated children. Others believe that video games are beneficial to the children teaching them practical skills. Despite the bad reputation video games are given, they have many useful applications. Video games can be used for many positive things: training soldiers, stimulate learning and entertaining everyone Video games have become a fundamental tool in recruiting and training soldiers for combat. Today the military has jumped on the idea of video games helping future soldiers. Army uses video games as a more effective recruiting tool for the army than all other army advertisements combined (live science). This is so due to the attraction of war video games to the youth. This is extremely helpful for military due to the increasing amount of youth playing war video games.
