Strength training and flexibility maintains motility, prolongs independence, increases bone density, reduced muscle atrophy, improves quality of life. Individuals carry in the type of exercise that interests them. Aerobic weight bearing exercise can be particularly beneficial. Subjective sense of being physically fit predicts better mental health. Being a happy, optimistic person contributes to longevity. Good sense of humor has positive effect.
