Lower mortality (death rate): we are living longer. However, this is the first time in centuries that life expectancy has recently dropped. People live longer, so they can work longer. Older adults want to be involved and a apart of something. Older adults now have time for civic engagement and stuff besides work. Increased need for programs and services such as nutrition programs, housing, legal services, hospitals, etc. They don"t cost a dime for adults 60+ Significant issue for the country and for us at our age, and elderly at their age. Individuals adapt to personal, psychological, and physical changes in life course. The environment is a changing context, so people must adapt. The context changes so the individual must change. The individual changes so the environmental context must change.
