May not have to present your budget but the higher your job is the more you will have to present and justify your budget to people. Purpose of the budget presentations to inform decision makers so we can get the budget we want. Things that need to be in the budget presentation. November 30, 2016: your vision, budget philosophy, your mission and goals, your current challenges, your significant/proposed changes, your future issues and trends, your organizational chart, your revenue summary, your expenditure summary, details about the budget. We need to know our audience is: not just an excel sheet, when talking to elected officials talk to them like you are talking to high school students, don"t make your audience feel stupid. Every one learns differently: about half of the population needs visual things to learn, about a third of the population needs vocal things to learn, not a lot of people learn from text.
