Three interconnecting plots, connected by celebration of wedding (cid:1) Egeus wants his daughter (hermia) to marry demetrius. Demetrius loves hermia, but hermia loves lysander. Egeus wants full penalty of law to fall on hermia"s head b/c she won"t (cid:1) listen to him, theseus gives hermia until his wedding to think about her options. Warns her that she could be executed/sent to a convent for disobeying her father"s wishes (cid:1)
