Public opinion pulling helps frame social problems. Joke cycles: set of jokes on a particular social issue. Jokes on media are spread quickly folklore: information that is spread informally. Legends or simple stories can reflect social tensions when they are being told. Can be dangerous because it could reflect only a certain type of people. An outlet for people to develop things right at the time of issues happening.
