Word recognition and comprehension: students are more likely to be successful when they are reading books. Determining students" reading levels that aren"t too easy or too difficult. Determining reading levels with the cri: teachers use assessments to adjust their teaching, begin with the graded word lists start at the pp level. To estimate the starting level for graded paragraphs. If they read the first ten right in the list, move on to the next one (to make it move faster) P if you have to pronounce for them. If they read something differently write that word. Then if they self correct put a plus above that word.
