Year later follow up indicated high levels of saisfacion about paricipaion. Very important issue (high beneit to risk raio) Today we would not do this study in the same way, but it was valuable. Even [adolf] eichmann was sickened when he toured the concentraion camps, but in order to paricipate in mass murder he had only to sit at a desk and shule papers. At the same ime, the man in the camp who actually dropped [the poison] into the gas chambers is able to jusify his behavior on the grounds that he is only following orders from above. Thus there is fragmentaion of the total human act; no one man decides to carry out the evil act is confronted with its consequences.
