Some claims of above average (@70%) in paricular police oicers, judges, secret service agents, etc. Much of our behavior is inluenced by brain processes that are outside of our conscious awareness. This includes processes that are related to mortality. Humans may have automaic unconscious biases that facilitate exploitaive behavior. Everybody believes that they are the moral right this allows us to someimes exploit and be decepive without feeling bad. The beter than average efect we tend to see ourselves beter than we actually are (how intelligent, modest, hardworking we are, etc) We atend to the the evidence that is consistent with the outcome we want/believe. We do keep track (probably mostly unconsciously) of our behavior . But to some degree, our good deeds are used to jusify our bad deeds .
