Gestalt psychologist: you need to understand the thing to understand it. The things that you experience as a child affect you as an adult. There are parts of yourself that you can"t access (motivation and suchhh, emotional reaction) If there is a psychological cause, there must be a psychological cure. Pavlov, watson: behaviorism only things you can objectively see and observe. Our behaviors were learned as a reaction of our environment. Behavioral neuroscience: how the brain and nervous system determine behavior. Experimental psychology: process of sensing, perceiving, leaning, thinking. Cognitive psychology: higher mental processes (thinking, memory, reasoning, problem solving, judging, decision making, language) Developmental psychology: change from moment of contraception until death. Personality psychology: consistency of people"s behavior over time and traits that differentiate one person from another.
