This is one of the five major fluids that make up semen and gives ejaculate its typical milky color. Prostatic fluid comprises about a third of the entire ejacualtion volume. Psa is the main protein the prostate produces. Prostate gland sits right below the bladder, helping to regulate urine flow. Nerves sit on top of the prostate that help with producing erections. There is a clear, familial link with prostate cancer. 42% of prostate cancer cases are genetic, 58% and non-genetic. If a female relative has breast cancer, it increases a male family member"s risk of prostate cancer. Age is the greatest risk factor for prostate cancer. The second most common malignancy in men, after skin cancer, is cancer of the prostate.
