When the people were emotionally distraught, they would behead others. B/c grief and anger builds up and thus, the ilongots lash out at others. When rosaldo witnessed his wife die, he was so angry and grief stricken, that he was able to understand the ilongots" actions. Positionality: our social location in relation to others that structures our experience, knowledge, and reality.
