What is sociology: the study of human society: more of a technique as how to study vs. what sociologists study. Path dependency: idea that tries to explain the use of old products or practices today, despite the release of newer, more efficient products and practices. Trouble: an individual matter or personal experience. Issue: public matter that transcends our environment, has to do with the larger aspects of social life. We try to explain things from such a narrow, individualistic perspective: when we should actually be taking into consideration the bigger picture, finding the root causes of issues in cultural, political, economical, etc. settings.
