Said and khaled are two palestinians suffering under israeli occupancy. Both of them are best friends and have been for a long time, so when the organization recruited them to become suicide bombers in the name of palestinian freedom, they both agreed to carry out the mission together. The organization"s main reason to carry out these suicide missions is due to political reasons of resisting the israeli government/occupancy in. They hope these bombs would threaten the israeli government and make them realize the strength of palestinians. Khaled harbors a strong hatred against the israelis due to an event that his family suffered when he was younger. During the first intifada, a couple of israelis entered his home and ordered his father to choose one leg to keep, and they shot the leg his father didn"t pick to save. At 24:58, khaled says, i would have let them break both than be so humiliated .
