ICT 202 Lecture Notes - Lecture 26: Mobile Computing
Document Summary
Week 7: all in 1"s, laptops. and other computing devices. A desktop, or desktop computer, is a personal computer designed to be in a stationary location, where all of its components fit on or under a desk or table. Allows for much easier individual customization of components. Can sometimes have more powerful components and all-in- ones. Can be more cost effective, depending on the type. If you are in an enterprise situation, it can be more difficult to manage if you have hundreds of different towers, each with customized components. All-in-ones are desktop computers that have a single box that is the display and computer versus the desktop that is comprised of the tower plus a separate monitor. This gives the all-in-one computer system a smaller overall profile than a desktop computer system. A bit easier to manage at the enterprise level. Far less customization in terms of hardware.
