Those individuals who possess superior physical, behavioral, or other attributes are more likely to survive than those which are not so well endowed . In plain english- survival of the fittest. The most well adapted organisms will survive to reproduce. Society"s fittest, not its frailest, are the ones who die- leaving the old and the children behind. You cannot define risk groups: everyone who is sexually active is at risk. More than one million americans are now living with hiv/aids. Each year, there are approximately 50,000 people newly infected with hiv. 1 in 5 people with hiv do not know they are positive. About 50% of those diagnosed with hiv/aids are not in regular care. The lack of access to antiretroviral therapy remains a cause for concern. 22 million people living with hiv are still not accessing antiretroviral therapy. The proportions of people who do not have access to treatment are 58% in south africa,
