Will be on one side. won"t be able to move tongue::might have troubles eating, licking. might see blood tinged saliva. Pharyngeal mucocele: aggregates w/in the pharynx and causes a swelling difficulty breathing or swallowing bc it causes an obstruction. Would see swelling on oral exam: might need to fna it to be sure it"s not a mass zygomatic mucocele: aggregates w/in the zygomatic area and causes a swelling exopthalmus- eye pushed forward. causes a divergent strabismus. Aseptic fna the area so you don"t introduce infxn.
