(similar to carbon footprint) When companies join water footprint network it makes them look more appealing to environmentally conscious consumers and maintaining sustainability of water may be important for their product. 1 pizza=300 gallons of water, 3000l/kg olive oil; beef 15,415 l/kg. 90% of america has access to clean drinking water. Access to safe drinking water varies around the world. Areas with the most difficult include africa and west asia. Wateraid and unicef help provide clean water countries that do not have access. Lack of clean water results in disease in children population.
