Zimbardo absolves the soldiers at abo ghraib of responsibility because of situational factors that in uenced their behavior. How can we be responsible for bad luck? . Zimbardo does not absolve bush, rumsfeld, and cheny. They are responsible because they created the situation . The empirical counter-challenge one could directly dispute data from situational psychology. The immunization thesis one could accept the data on situationalism at face value and suggest we can use these data to immunize or shield ourselves.
