Geography: science that studies the relationships among natural systems, geographical areas, society, cultural activities and the interdependence of all these things over space. Space: the location of where people are located. Want to know the patterns, differences, similarities in that place. Geography is not only descriptive but it considers: Why are people/places the way they are. Spans natural and social science and technology: human geography: historical, political, economic, behavioral, population, physical geography: geology, biology, meteorology, geographic techniques: stat, engineering, computer science. It is specific places that proved the settings for peoples daily lives. Places: are specific geographic settings with distinctive physical, social, and cultural attributes that we attach meaning to. Regions: territories that encompass many places , all of most of which share attributes different from the attributes of places elsewhere.
