They are there to honor, it is not only a privilege but a duty for a monarch to dance well to honor the the devine being and elegance. Dancers of the court are often royalty themselves. In traditional court dances: status is shown by with whom one dances with, exemplifying re nement through movement is considered nobel,beautiful, elegant, serene. Learning ettiequte- how to behave inside a court. Court dance often tells stories like legends,myths, accounts of war that are intrinsic. Understanding the purpose of court dance, it is not restrictive to history. Variations in court dance live on in modern societies that display a need for displays for power.
