Athena beats up arachne and hangs herself. Salmacis leaves his caves because he is curious and wants to explore. She hides, waits for him to undress. Actaeon gets lost in the woods, stumbles upon pool. Diana wants to shoot him once she sees him. She throws water at him and he turns into a stag. Jove disguises himself as diana because callisto is a nymph hunter. Diana sees callisto as pregnant and is abandoned. Juno sees the son; turns callisto into a bear. Zeus sees them and turns them into a constellation. Juno not happy because she thinks her power has lessened because nymph and her son were turned into divinities. His friend challenges him to prove that his dad is apollo. Phaethon goes up to see apollo; apollo says he is his son and swears by the river styx. Phaethon wants to drive the sun chariot. Apollo tries to warn him of consequences.
