Document Summary

Bio 1108 lab: what changes do you expect in abiotic conditions in or just above the sediments to. Sunlight plays a huge role in the environment and therefore autotrophs will be found where light is exposed and heterotrophs will exist where there is no sunlight. I would expect the water depth to change as well because the water would be deeper in abiotic conditions than at the water column. Each species has specific adaptations that allow it to survive in each condition. For example, organisms that live above the sediments may need the skill to burrow to be able to survive. Organisms that live in abiotic conditions require different adaptations. A water column at a deep site would be more nutrient filled than a water column at the shallow site.
