Document Summary

Artemia salina and feeding habits in increasingly viscous environments. The organism that was tested in this experiment was brine shrimp, artemia salina. These animals are invertebrates that are often found in extreme temperatures and environments with high salinities. Brine shrimp was extremely adaptive to any environment and are naturally found in salt lake environments (tomkins 117). Lately, the earth has been facing lots of pollution and global warming is changing the conditions of lakes. Because of this, it is important to know how the increase of salt affects bring shrimp and their feeding habits. Invertebrates are the easiest to test because their can adapt the easier to environments, can mass populate and multiple experiments regarding pollution, swimming speeds and behavior studies have been conducted on them so data can be compared easier(tomkins 121). The experiment focused on brine shrimp and volvox aureus, their prey and an algal species. Testing brine shrimp feeding behavior is tested on volvox aureus.
