Title ix of the education amendments of 1972 as amended, requires educational institutions that receive federal funds or financial assistance to prohibit sex discrimination in all programs and activities. Title ix officers deal more with sexual assault than any other form of sex discrimination. Universities that receive public funding are required to have a title ix officer on campus. All professors and faculty are also required to report any form of discrimination to. Schools need to require the same number of sports for men and women, not necessarily the same sports.
