Media company profits are still growing - still making money somewhere. Upstarts like netflix are gaining sig foothold. Netflix caused a 50% drop in us tv viewing in 2015, according to one study. A system for transmitting visual images and sound that are reproduced in screens, chiefly used to broadcast programs for entertainment, information, and education. Nielsen definition of traditional tv: watching live or time-shifted content on a televi set. Time-shifted is not traditional tv, common argument. Nontraditional tv - tv not watched on tv set and/or watched when you want it. So what do we mean by television? . Beyond the idea that it is a box for watching shows.
