Never none of the above on a test. 2 independents observe trial and then combine their data to hopefully get equal and unbiased data. Laws are created from social norms being broken. Built around emphasis on norms, customs, and religion. Typically found in hunting and gathering societies as well as simple agrarian societies. Leaders are kin leaders, councils of elders/chiefs, or religious leaders. Courts are not permanent, but only formed when necessary. Joe steals from bob- bob must find a way to deal with joe on his own. Wronged party vs. party who did the wrong. Substantive: rights, duties, and prohibitions concerning what is right, wrong, permissible, and impermissible.
