Anthony and e. cady stanton: suffragists: pushing for women"s vote, wanted equality for slavery and suffrage, abolitionists, they tried to get legislation that would lead to equal rights for all humans. Former male slaves were the first to get the right to vote after all other white males, about 5 years after the emancipation proclamation.
