Don"t convince someone to use a paricular method to get out of a dui: use ethical methods of delivery. Degrees of persuasion: moves from let to right on a scale from strongly opposed to strongly in favor. Get the audience to at least rethink their ideas on what you are talking about. Mental dialogue: the mental give and take between the speaker and the listener, take into account how the audience might feel or react. Target audience: porion of the audience that the speaker most wants to persuade. Shiting some people to feel diferently about something. Quesions of policy: whether a course of acion should or should not be taken, passive agreement. Convinces the audience that the policy is desirable. Avoids encouraging acion to support a policy: immediate acion.
