I will no longer be made to feel ashamed of existing. I will have my voice: indian, spanish, white. How does this relate to the argument she makes in her first text: the main argument presented in the poem is that the destruction of a culture"s language indefinitely destroys the culture itself. The language of a culture is almost sacred in that their language is used as away to express themselves with people who have the same cultural background as them. What do you think: the idea of linguistics terrorism is regarded as culture violence because stripping a culture of their language strips them of their identity culturally. You are not able to have self-love when you are stripped of your main cultural value. Part of the point of a text that misses languages is to give non-spanish speaking readers the feeling of being lost, excluded, or left out.
