Quality of life: at any time, 50 percent of the population has a chronic condition, and the medical management of these of these conditions accounts for three-(cid:395)ua(cid:396)te(cid:396)s of the (cid:374)atio(cid:374)"s health spending. About 16. 9 million people have a history of a heart attack or chest pain and 76. 4 million people have diagnosed hypertension. Most of us will eventually develop at least one chronic disability. Until now, quality of life was not considered an issue of medical importance and there was no consideration of the psychosocial consequences. Quality of life is now given more attention in the management of chronic illness. It has components such as physical functioning, psychological status, social functioning, and disease. Documentation of how illness affects the activities of daily living, it can measure which problems are about to emerge, measures the impact of treatment, can be used to compare therapies, etc.
