Dissociative identity disorder (aka multiple personality disorders)- appearance within one person of two or more distinct personalities, each with own name and traits. Some criticism is that clinicians create the alter personality. Personality disorder- inflexible and enduring behavior patterns that impair social functioning; usually w/o anxiety, depression or delusions. Narcissistic personality disorder- exaggerated sense of self-importance and self- absorption. Antisocial personality disorder (aka psychopathy)- lack of remorse, empathy, anxiety or other social emotions.
